This previously plain memory lantern was refurbished using stained glass in resin cathedral windows, each featuring an added windowsill with painted cardinal and coordinating corner embellishments in the side and back panels with glass and resin.  The upper portholes were further embellished using crushed stained glass and resin. The front glass was embellished using glass cardinals on hand painted branches and red heart-shaped gemstones. The aluminum handle was wrapped in jute, and jute trim was added to the edges of the top and base of the lantern.  Three tiny red rhinestones adorn each corner of the base.  A hook in the top portion of the lantern holds a string of fairy lights, which illuminates the stained glass and cascades down into the center of the lantern, where a flameless candle adds a subtle glow.  This lantern has been elevated and transformed into a timeless treasure which now is a showcase piece that no longer blends into the background.
