This is possibly my most fabulous makeover project ever!  I rescued this shabby, broken up piece with no innards from an antique store for $30 and repaired it, patched, sanded and painted it, then decoupaged the entire piece in a vintage amethyst stripe and scrolled print.  Trim was done in flat amethyst trim enamel.  A new paper dial was cut to fit and decoupaged with a sparkly glitter paper, trimmed in clear crystal rhinestone trim, along with the accent piece on the crown.  A new quartz movement with intricately detailed pendulum, and chimes was installed.  It lives in the corner of my home office where I Can see it and enjoy it every day!
